It was on our 1st Wedding Anniversary and we wanted to spend it leisurely in Heaven a midst Swiss Alps.
We opted to take Swiss pass for 4 days for 2 person , this pass of 220 euros is worth for the entire 4 day trip. As it covers travelling throughout Swiss starting from Stuttgart, Germany. It is inclusive of all RE/ICE trains in Swiss. Swiss pass is valid in all the S-bahn trains, buses, boats and ships, cable cars,etc.
We started on thursday morning at 6am from Stuttgart, Germany and at 11 pm reached Zurich,Switzerland. In Zurich we booked IBIS hotel as it is the only best and affordable.
After site seeing for a day in Zurich we started next day to Lucern and from Lucern to Mount Titlis. This mountain is really the place to be to enjoy the Alps. Its breath taking view from the top of the mountain. It is fun to slide and enjoy the top view and moving to the top in cable cars. The most surprising thing is the Indian Restaurant at the top of the mountain. The place completes you appetite after tiring day. You have Lunch buffet with Indian Cuisines. From Lucern we started to Interlaken, it is the south most part of Swiss. The hotel we booked had the most beautiful scenary. The place is called as Boeningen Village. It is surrounded by Mountains on all sides with Rivers flowing and just before our Balcony was a Lake . The early morning view is awesome!!! Sun rise from between the mountains and the rays reflecting on the Lake with two swans in the lake, Cattle with bells grazing on the mountains, snow cover on the top of mountains shining like Gold...it is the place to be.
Interlaken has so many things besides Natural beauty scenaries, lakes and mountains. Sports lovers have their day to spend here. From Gliding to Air Ballon Ride, from Cycling to Biking, etc. We rented Cycles for complete day and it is the best way to see the entire Interlaken with beauty around.
Our fourth destination was Schaffhausen- Rheinfalls. This is largest plain waterfall in Europe. Here in this place there is nothing much to explore except the view and a boat Ride which takes you close to the Waterfalls and then to the other end and also view from the top of the Waterfall.
End of May month is the most suitable time to explore entire Swiss.
